Our Milano Design Week Adventure: A Journey of Design, Surprise, and Stefano Giovannoni Sightings!
Hey there, design enthusiasts! Today’s blog post is gonna be a bit different. There’s just too much epicness from our trip to Milano Design Week to put into words, so I’ve thrown together a photo album below. As they say, every picture is worth a thousand words, right?
So, let’s dive into a “day in the life” of our work travel escapades!
First things first – coffee. Italy has the best coffee in the world, hands down. And let me tell you, opportunities for coffee present themselves more often than I change my socks. We’re talking multiple times an hour, people!
Next up, we brave the LOOOONNNGG lines to get into Salone del Mobile – the holy grail of design week. It’s a spectacle like no other – bursting with inspiration, colors, textures, and enough business opportunities to make your head spin. And let’s not forget the food, drinks, and 3 million visitors from around the globe. Pinch me, ’cause this is our actual job!
Now, here’s where things get wild. Midday, I get a random FaceTime call from my mom in Israel, who’s supposedly missing out on the show this year. Little did I know, she’d flown in spontaneously and surprised me right then and there! Talk about a plot twist!
After a delicious lunch and, you guessed it, another coffee break, we dive back into the show. And that’s when it happened – I spot one of my design idols chilling at the Qeeboo exhibit hall. Cue the internal screams! I stealthily snagged a short video to share with y’all later.
Post-show, we hopped into a taxi and zipped off to one of our ultimate hangouts – the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II at the heart of Piazza del Duomo. Sure, it’s a bit touristy, but trust me, it’s worth every selfie. With its jaw-dropping architecture, high-end fashion boutiques, mouthwatering cuisine, and, you guessed it, more coffee, it’s basically heaven!
After dinner ,we took another taxi, Because what’s a trip to Milano without rubbing elbows with the who’s who of the design world at a killer party? We boogied the night away, surrounded by cool designers, event mainstays, and enough creative energy to power a spaceship. Sipping drinks and soaking in the electric atmosphere, it was like stepping into a scene straight out of a movie – and we were the stars of the show!
And with that, we crawled into bed, ready to dream about the epic adventures awaiting us tomorrow.
